The Swim Short the Ocean Wants You to Wear.
Our swimwear collection is made from recycled materials and fully produced in Portugal, combining quality with responsibility.
It’s built around two key fabrics:
On one side, SEAQUAL® YARN, crafted from 10% SEAQUAL® MARINE PLASTIC (recovered marine litter) and 90% post-consumer PET.
On the other, Q-Nova by Fulgar®—a mechanically recycled polyamide fiber made entirely from regenerated raw materials, traceable and environmentally conscious.
Two different approaches. One shared purpose:
to reduce impact, protect the oceans,
and offer a responsible choice without compromising design or performance.

SEAQUAL® MARINE PLASTIC
#TOGETHERFORACLEANOCEAN

Each pair of Trendsplant swim shorts gives new life to around 180 grams of plastic, roughly the equivalent of 11 discarded bottles.
We started working with SEAQUAL INITIATIVE in 2018, when we made the shift from conventional polyester to 100% SEAQUAL® YARN in all our swimwear.
This yarn is made with 10% SEAQUAL® MARINE PLASTIC, collected from marine litter, and 90% post-consumer PET.
A small step, but one we believe makes a difference.

Q-Nova by Fulgar®
Q-NOVA® is a mechanically recycled polyamide fiber made from materials that would otherwise go to waste. It’s produced without the need for chemical processes and meets strict standards for traceability and low environmental impact.
The result? A lightweight, durable, and functional fabric with a lower footprint on the planet.
Our swim shorts made with Q-NOVA® meet the quality standards we stand by, without compromising our commitment to more responsible production.
Swimwear Q-Nova
Environmental awareness, recycling, a more conscious lifestyle, and reduced emissions are no longer niche topics, they're priorities shared by both the textile industry and the people who wear what we make.
That’s why Fulgar developed Q-NOVA®: a fiber designed to significantly reduce CO₂ emissions and water usage, prioritizing renewable energy sources throughout its production process.
